German company Bizerba, one of the global leaders in the production of scales and a worldwide supplier of hardware and software solutions in the field of weighing, cutting and labeling technology, officially opened a new production facility in Valjevo
VALJEVO, April 20, 2023 - The German Bizerba factory was officially opened in Valjevo, while the ceremony was attended by the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, as well as the German Ambassador to Serbia, Anke Konrad.
With the groundbreaking ceremony held in March last year, construction work on the Bizerba factory began and it was announced that a German company is investing more than €33 million in Valjevo. A year later, the new Bizerba production facility covers an area of about 11,000 square meters and in the Phase I, will initially employ around 300 workers, and the average net salary, as previously announced by President Vučić, will amount to more than 1,100 euros.

President Vučić pointed out that Bizerba has over 150 years of family-owned company history and thanked the Kraut family, as well as everyone else who participated in the construction process in Valjevo.
"In this company special attention is paid to innovative green technologies, which is important not only for future buyers of products, but also for the citizens of Valjevo. We will be able to say that the highest quality products of this company are made in the heart of Serbia", said President Vučić and added that around 80,000 people work in German companies in Serbia, and by the beginning of next year that number will be from 90,000 to 100,000.
The general director of Bizerba Andreas Kraut addressed the audience stated that it was their biggest project in terms of investment and construction of the factory, and he said that he was convinced that they did not make a mistake in their choice. Valjevo as a place for his company.
The first scales were already produced and delivered to customers in February this year.
